Opportunity Knocks!

We have been enriched by our own travel experiences and have also seen how others have benefited from traveling. But this programme is not just for those who wish to travel. It provides a great opportunity to gain some life changing experience and develop new skills - especially for students who would not otherwise have the chance to study or travel abroad. It is safe and legal.

Cultural exposure. By working and living in the USA, not only will you be experiencing the American way of life first hand, you will develop self awareness and learn to value cultural differences, experiences which will be beneficial in coping with this fast changing globalised world.

Improve your English. What better way to improve your language skills than speaking and using English everyday. You will gain confidence in speaking it without even realizing it.

Improve communication skills. Being in an environment where you will need to work alongside people of diverse cultures and backgrounds, you will have the opportunity to gain confidence in communicating with total strangers, which will definitely help in your future career.

Enhance your CV. Your work experience abroad will definitely get noticed by your future employer. It shows that you have the confidence to open yourself to new experiences, learned to be independent, have the ability to adapt to new environments and the willingness to take up an entry level job. It takes courage to even take this first step. You may even gain specific skills that will help you in your career or discover a new field of work that interests you.

Independence. Whether you like it or not, one day you will need to make your own decisions. There is no easy way but to just do it. You will learn to solve problems in an unfamiliar environment and manage every aspect of your life. Although guidance will be provided, you will gain much confidence from this experience.

Personal Development. Learning a different culture, planning your own time and money, and gaining a wider perspective on the outside world will ultimately help to define you. You may not even be immediately conscious of how this will benefit you in the long run!

Good use of your term break. How will you spending your holiday otherwise? You stand to meet and make lifetime friends – as well as having a memorable holiday!
