Partner Sponsors

Legal Sponsors are US-based specialist student exchange organizations designated by the US Department of State to facilitate the exchange programme. Their responsibilities include issuing the legal document (DS 2019 – Certificate of Eligibility of Exchange Visitor Status) to eligible students, making sure that programme rules are adhered to and providing support services while students are in the USA.

Legal sponsors, in turn, appoint representatives in different countries to recruit eligible participants, assist in preparing the necessary legal documents as well as helping participants to prepare an application for a J1 Exchange Visitor visa to travel to the USA.

Out of the Box (OOTB Personal Development Sdn Bhd) is a representative in Malaysia for both CIEE (Council on International Education Exchange) and Geovisions for Work and Travel USA in Malaysia. CIEE is the largest sponsor for this programme, and GeoVisions provides access to a wider range of job opportunities and flexibility in employment.
